In some cases it generates loads of messageswith X11 errors, like:Code: Select allX Error: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter) 9

I then started comparing environment variables and "set" variables, and started to unset some of the environment variables in the local shell, but none of that seemed to be working. This only happens when main even loop is controlled by Qt (QApplication::exec() like in my example above). I am using the window manager i3.

I installed virtualbox as the root user and tried running it as the root user when the above error came up - I recall doing the same with fedora 21 without If understood the Bertrand's comment correctly he said the QtRoot is so simple that everybody (each experiment) can create his own TQtWidget correctly follow the receipt provided. I have polkit installed.I just run pcmanfm and tried to run unetbootin from applications. Comment 19 Anoop C S 2015-11-17 01:53:02 EST For my surprise, I can no longer see this issue on fedora 23.

Reload to refresh your session. It's been a while, but the problem could not be reproduced. Throwing exceptions from an event handler is not supported in Qt. How come this got fixed without any notifications to this bug?
It would be much simpler...Cheers, Bertrand. These changes are still in the dev branch and haven't yet made it to the release branch, but are moving fast.
